DFW is one of the cheapest major US metro areas cost-of-living wise and the Bay Area and NYC are a tossup for the most expensive. YMMV as not necessarily all locations will do this, you'd have to ask beforehand to confirm. We were super excited about the area; close to downtown, great entertainment, and supposedly appreciating property values. Uptown is an evolving neighborhood - the recent spat of shootings is understandably causing concern, but this is still arguably the best truly walkable, urban/city lifestyle in Dallas. Precision is on Preston and just a big bodybuilders gym.
