I recently bought a new P99 AS, 40 S&W. I also just purchased a Q5, but the slide-to-frame fit has no play at all, in any direction. It is not an early enough version to be pre-production, it has the trigger stop on the frame, earliest versions had it on the trigger, it looks like the front part of the slide and front sight has been heated up and the s/n changed, someone has ruined what was probably a nice P88.
