This winch has the same capacity but comes with a steel rope instead of a synthetic rope and retails for just $339. I am very impressed with the Harbor Freight Badlands Apex winch, both the completeness of the package and the ease of operation. I've wanted to get a winch on my truck (2005 F250) for a while but haven't been able to swing the cost.
